Frontier Airlines is a US low-cost carrier based in Denver, Colorado. The airline was founded in 1994, utilizing Boeing 737-200 and 737-300 aircraft, and transitioned to an all-Airbus fleet of A319, A320 and A321s. Eleven Airbus A318s were in service from 2003 to 2013 and Frontier-branded Embraer ERJ-170 and ERJ-190 aircraft, operated by Republic Airlines, were also used until the end of 2013. With the slogan of "A whole different animal", each aircraft features a different, named animal on the tail. In April 2013, Frontier unveiled an updated livery, featuring the carrier's website, FLYFRONTIER.COM, on the side of the fuselage in billboard letters. One year later, Frontier refreshed the livery again, changing the airline's title to green and adding animal nicknames on the nose.
